Annual health exams

Health exams are very important when it comes to your animal. Exams should be  annually for young healthy animals and more frequently for older pets. We offer the best care for your pets of all ages. During your visit our veterinarian will perform a complete exam on your pet and help you determine which vaccines and test will be most beneficial for the health of your dog or cat. Below you will find more information about the core test and vaccines we provide.

Heartworm Test: Heartworm tests preformed in clinic and we have results immediately. We also test for Erhlichia and Lyme disease. These test are important because they check for harmful mosquito and tick borne diseases We carry the best heartworm prevention on the market and will be happy to help you choose the best product for your pet.

Dental Exams are part of our Annual Health exams. Our doctor will examine your pet’s teeth to look for missing, chipped or cracked teeth, signs of gum disease, excessive tarter build up. Dr. Rhea will examine the overall oral health of your pet and help you decide when the dental cleaning is needed

Flea & Tick prevention is a very important part of keeping your pet’s healthy and disease free. Fleas can cause your pet to have Tapeworms, skin issues and in serer cases can make your pet become anemic. Ticks carry harmful diseases such as Lyme and Erhlichia which can be avoided with the proper prevention. We carry products that protect against fleas and ticks with one dose.

Vaccinations for Dogs are the main way to keep your dog’s immune system strong and protect them from common diseases that are easily spread between dogs. A total of 3 booster vaccinations are given. One at 6, 9 and 12 weeks old. Animal must be 3 months old to have rabies vaccination. After the puppy series is finished your pet will get vaccines yearly to keep the immune system strong as an adult. We offer vaccines that help protect your dog from Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Canine Tracheobronchitis, Leptospirosis, and Rabies.

Vaccinations for cats are often disregarded but they are a vital part of keeping your cat healthy. A total of 3 booster vaccinations are given. One at 6, 9 and 12 weeks old. Animal must be 3 months old to have rabies vaccination.We offer vaccines that will help protect your cat from Feline Leukemia, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Feline Panleukopenia, Feline Calicivirus and Rabies.
